Our client is a newly established mechanical and electrical contractor based in Liverpool. As a new business, it does not have a trading history of its own to point to, but its founding leadership team does: decades of combined experience delivering major M&E contracts across the North West, with a strong reputation in the regional market and long-standing relationships with main contractors and clients built up over many years.

What You'll Be Doing
Taking ownership of the electrical estimating function from the ground up, including setting processes, templates and standards
Preparing accurate, well-substantiated electrical estimates and tender submissions
Carrying out take-offs and measurement from drawings and specifications
Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to build a reliable, competitive supply chain from scratch
Identifying value engineering opportunities and contributing to buildability discussions
Working directly with the founding leadership team on pricing strategy and commercial decisions
Reviewing contract terms and flagging commercial risk ahead of submission
Helping to establish the estimating function’s reputation and standards as the business builds its client base
What We're Looking For
A strong electrical estimating background within an M&E or electrical contracting environment
Confident leading electrical tenders independently, from enquiry through to submission
Comfortable establishing processes and systems from scratch, rather than working within an existing structure
An entrepreneurial mindset, energised by being part of something new rather than needing established infrastructure around you
Strong take-off, measurement and commercial pricing skills
Existing knowledge of, or a network within, the North West M&E market is an advantage
Relevant electrical qualifications
Full UK driving licence
