We’re working with a well-established building services contractor based in Blackpool to recruit a new Mechanical Estimator. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen, looking to be part of a supportive team delivering quality across the commercial, healthcare, and industrial sectors.

About the Company
Our client is a multi-disciplinary contractor specialising in mechanical and electrical engineering services across the UK. With a reputation for consistency, reliability, and technical know-how, they provide full design, installation, and commissioning support to a loyal client base.
As the business continues to grow, they’re looking to strengthen their estimating function and bring on a Mechanical Estimator to help support new and existing projects.
You’ll be working alongside a knowledgeable team with access to strong operational support and modern systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
Preparing competitive mechanical estimates and cost breakdowns for projects across various sectors
Reviewing drawings, tender documents, and specifications
Performing quantity take-offs and pricing materials, plant, and labour
Engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive quotes
Collaborating with in-house teams to align tenders with project delivery strategy
Attending internal and client pre-construction meetings as needed
Maintaining accurate records and assisting with tender reviews and submissions
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the M&E or building services industry
Good working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and heating systems
Strong understanding of commercial tendering procedures
Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and documents
Familiarity with estimating software and Microsoft Office
Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and clients
Relevant qualifications or trade background in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
Benefits
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 depending on experience
