We’re partnering with a long-established M&E contractor in Wigan to find a Mechanical Project Manager who can take ownership of technically varied projects across the North. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for someone confident overseeing mechanical installations, coordinating site teams, and working closely with commercial and design functions to ensure successful delivery.
This is a great fit for someone who wants to take control of project delivery without the usual red tape.

As part of a growing operations team, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in delivering complex mechanical packages across the North, with support from experienced project leads and internal teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
Managing mechanical projects from pre-construction through to final handover
Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and supply chains
Reviewing technical documentation and contributing to design development
Ensuring site safety, RAMS, and compliance procedures are met
Monitoring project performance against programme, quality, and cost
Liaising with clients and consultants to maintain positive working relationships
Supporting commercial teams with variations, forecasting, and reporting
Solving problems proactively and keeping project momentum high
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience managing mechanical building services projects
Strong knowledge of HVAC, pipework, and plantroom installations
SMSTS, CSCS, and first aid qualifications (preferred)
Able to manage multiple teams and maintain standards across sites
Practical understanding of current industry regulations
Good communicator with a proactive, hands-on approach
Full UK driving licence
Benefits
Salary: £65,000 – £70,000
