The Opportunity

Our client, an established M&E building services contractor based in Blackpool, is looking for an MEP Revit Technician to join their in-house design and BIM team. It is a role centred on producing accurate, well-coordinated Revit models across mechanical, electrical and public health systems, and turning engineering design intent into buildable, clash-free models that the delivery teams can actually work from.

Working for a contractor rather than a pure design consultancy has a real advantage for a technician: your models feed directly into projects the same business goes on to install and commission. That means you see the practical consequences of good coordination on site, and the feedback loop between design and delivery is genuinely close rather than being handed off to a third party.

This is a permanent role, based at the client’s Blackpool office, offering £40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience, plus a full benefits package.

About the Business

Our client is a well-established M&E and building services contractor operating across the North West and beyond, delivering mechanical, electrical and public health engineering across a broad range of sectors. They run design, installation and maintenance capability in-house, with an established BIM and design function that supports their project delivery from the earliest stages.

The business has invested in its design and BIM capability as a core part of how it wins and delivers work, rather than treating modelling as an afterthought. For a Revit technician, that means joining a team where the modelling work is valued and central to delivery, with the technology, standards and support in place to do the job properly.

This is a stable, long-established business with a strong regional presence and a genuine commitment to developing its people, making it a solid environment for a technician looking to build their career over the long term.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Producing and coordinating detailed Revit MEP models across mechanical, electrical and public health systems

  • Modelling building services including HVAC, pipework, containment, plant layouts and associated systems

  • Working closely with engineers and project teams to translate design intent into accurate, buildable models

  • Coordinating models across disciplines and resolving clashes using Navisworks and associated BIM tools

  • Applying and maintaining BIM standards, templates and workflows in line with ISO 19650 and BIM Level 2

  • Producing high-quality drawings and documentation from concept through to construction

  • Reviewing and checking models and drawings to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance

  • Supporting coordination meetings and model reviews with the wider project team

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Revit technician within a building services or MEP environment

  • Strong hands-on proficiency with Revit MEP, ideally alongside AutoCAD and Navisworks

  • A good understanding of mechanical, electrical and public health building services systems

  • Familiarity with BIM Level 2, ISO 19650 and standard coordination and clash detection workflows

  • Strong attention to detail and a genuine pride in producing accurate, well-coordinated models

  • The ability to work collaboratively with engineers, project teams and other disciplines

  • Relevant qualifications in building services, engineering or a related discipline are advantageous

What's on Offer

  • £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

  • Full company benefits package

  • A central role in an established in-house design and BIM team

  • The satisfaction of seeing your models feed directly into projects the business installs and commissions

  • A stable, long-established contractor with a serious, well-supported approach to design and BIM
