The Opportunity
We have partnered with a Tier 1 contractor and leading national infrastructure business to help grow the building services design team within their in-house design consultancy. This is a senior technical role producing accurate, high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models, using Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks, for mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) building services on major projects.
The role is available in Manchester, Liverpool or Leeds.
You would lead the delivery of coordinated MEP designs and construction-level models within a BIM environment, act as lead coordinator where required, and offer senior-level technical input on BIM, COBie, Revit and CAD activities. It suits an experienced MEP Revit technician ready to operate at a senior level, mentoring others and driving BIM standards on high-profile schemes.
Salary is £40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience, plus a full benefits package.

What You'll Be Doing
Leading the delivery of high-quality, coordinated MEP designs and construction-level models in 3D Revit
Acting as lead coordinator, liaising with MEP specialists, manufacturers and other design disciplines
Offering senior-level technical advice on BIM, COBie, Revit and CAD activities
Identifying and resolving clashes between architectural, structural and MEP services
Creating, modifying and managing parametric Revit families and project templates
Producing deliverables in line with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), MIDP and TIDP
Ensuring compliance with company standards, QA procedures and project standards
Assisting and overseeing the work of trainee CAD technicians
Helping to develop and improve CAD standards, templates and workflows
What We're Looking For
Degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering, CAD or 3D digital engineering
Proven senior-level experience delivering complex mechanical and electrical 2D and 3D layouts and BIM models
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (3D) and AutoCAD (2D), with Navisworks and CDE platforms
Experience in BIM coordination, clash detection and troubleshooting
A good understanding of building regulations and construction methods
Able to coordinate to a wide level of detail across RIBA/BSRIA design stages
Able to meet BPSS security clearance requirements
