We’re working with a well-established electrical contractor based in Castleford to find an experienced Electrical Estimator. This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to work on technically interesting projects across the water and renewable energy sectors, with typical project values ranging from £50k to £1m.

Our client is a respected electrical contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality electrical installation projects across the utilities and renewables sectors. Known for their reliable delivery, strong commercial awareness, and tight-knit team culture, they’re now looking to strengthen their pre-construction function as their order book continues to grow.

What You’ll Be Doing
Preparing accurate and competitive electrical estimates and tender submissions
Reviewing technical drawings and specifications to assess project requirements
Managing supplier and subcontractor pricing and identifying value engineering opportunities
Liaising with clients, engineers, and internal teams to support project bids
Attending site visits and pre-tender meetings as required
Organising workload to meet tender deadlines and submission milestones
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, preferably within utilities or renewable energy
Strong commercial understanding and keen attention to detail
Comfortable reading and interpreting technical documents, specifications, and drawings
Confident communicator with the ability to work closely with engineers, suppliers, and clients
Familiarity with estimating software (such as Trimble/Amtech)
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Relevant electrical qualifications or equivalent trade background
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Benefits
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 depending on experience
Monday–Friday working hours (early finish on Fridays)
