Support specialist water and energy projects with a hands-on engineering role in Castleford.
We’re working with a respected electrical contractor in West Yorkshire to find an experienced Electrical Project Engineer. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to work on highly specialised projects across the water and renewables sectors, taking responsibility for end-to-end project delivery with the support of a close-knit, collaborative team.

What You’ll Be Doing
Leading electrical installations from early concept through to final handover
Supporting site teams on schemes like pumping stations, dosing systems, and chlorination plants
Preparing and reviewing risk assessments, method statements, and project management plans
Procuring materials and assisting with subcontractor orders
Attending design reviews and coordinating with design and project teams
Assisting in cost tracking and variation submissions
Liaising closely with site managers to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to spec
Preparing and managing project programmes and documentation
Ensuring accurate record keeping including test certificates, ITPs, and O&M manuals
Skills & Experience Required
Relevant electrical qualifications or equivalent hands-on industry experience
Proven track record in the water sector (essential)
Comfortable working across office, design, and site environments
Experience with Amtech, AutoCAD, or Relux (desirable)
ATEX knowledge (beneficial but not essential)
Commercial and contractual awareness
Competence in Microsoft Office packages
Strong communicator and team player
Benefits
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 depending on experience
