Our client is the building services engineering arm of a well-established national contractor, supporting infrastructure projects across the healthcare, education, commercial, custodial, and defence sectors.

With a focus on technically demanding work and complex M&E delivery, they take a collaborative, low-hierarchy approach to project delivery - integrating early with design, commercial and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical and electrical packages across live infrastructure and construction projects

  • Prepare valuations, variations, and cost reports with commercial accuracy

  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, onboarding, and payment processes

  • Support bid and tendering activities as required

  • Collaborate with delivery and design teams to manage risk, resolve issues, and maintain commercial performance

  • Ensure contractual compliance and structured documentation at all stages

  • Contribute to project reviews and stakeholder updates

Skills & Experience Required

  • Background in M&E or building services quantity surveying

  • Comfortable managing commercial aspects of both mechanical and electrical works

  • Experience working with NEC or JCT contract frameworks

  • Strong understanding of cost control, variations, forecasting, and final accounts

  • Ability to build rapport with site teams, subcontractors, and clients

  • Excellent documentation, communication, and negotiation skills

  • Degree-qualified or equivalent professional experience preferred
