What You’ll Be Doing
Taking electrical packages from design handover through installation, test, and commissioning
Interpreting drawings and specs, raising RFIs, and resolving buildability issues early
Coordinating with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep programme and quality on course
Preparing and maintaining technical documents: ITPs, RAMS, test sheets, O&M inputs, as-fitted updates
Attending design and progress meetings, providing concise technical updates
Supporting procurement with take-offs, kit lists, and technical submittals
Assisting with cost control through variation support and accurate progress reporting
Championing safety, compliance, and neat, serviceable installations on every job
Working on Manchester based local projects
Skills & Experience Required
Background in electrical building services on live projects
Confident reading drawings, schematics, and schedules, and turning them into clear site instructions
Working knowledge of BS 7671, testing and inspection, and common M&E coordination issues
Comfortable with MS Office and basic project tools; exposure to BIM/ACC or similar is helpful
Good communicator who can collaborate with designers, supervisors, and clients
Relevant electrical qualifications or an engineering degree, plus a full UK driving licence
Benefits
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 depending on experience
