We’re working with a long-established M&E contractor to recruit an experienced M&E Operations Director to join their senior leadership team in Warrington. This is a full-time, permanent role with broad responsibility across project delivery, commercial oversight, and operational leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the business, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading operational and project delivery across multiple M&E contracts

  • Ensuring programmes, budgets, quality standards, and H&S compliance are met

  • Overseeing the transition from design to site, ensuring seamless delivery

  • Managing the estimating process from tender through to finalisation

  • Supporting business development through client relationship management

  • Providing weekly and monthly operational performance reports to the board

  • Managing general office operations, staffing levels, recruitment, and structure

  • Identifying and mitigating project and company-level risks

  • Ensuring ISO and internal compliance protocols are fully adhered to

Skills & Experience Required

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject

  • Significant experience managing multiple large-scale M&E projects

  • Proven track record of improving profit and driving commercial performance

  • Ability to lead teams with clarity, purpose, and accountability

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Ability to analyse and act on commercial and operational data

  • Experience reporting to board-level stakeholders
