We’re working with a leading national contractor to recruit an experienced M&E Senior Quantity Surveyor for their South Wales & West operating unit. Based from the Clevedon office, this full-time, permanent role offers the chance to lead on the commercial management of complex mechanical and electrical schemes while mentoring junior team members and supporting regional growth.

What You’ll Be Doing
Managing the commercial performance of multiple MEP projects
Supporting Regional Operations and Senior Commercial Management teams
Producing monthly reports, valuations, cost forecasts, and cashflow documentation
Leading project-level risk identification and supporting resolution strategies
Overseeing the administration of subcontracts and commercial change
Mentoring and managing junior commercial staff
Reviewing and approving draft subcontracts and payment applications
Representing the business in client meetings, negotiations, and dispute resolution
Ensuring projects remain financially robust and contractually compliant
Skills & Experience Required
Strong understanding of construction and M&E contract environments
Proven experience managing the commercial lifecycle of live projects and final accounts
Knowledge of NEC and JCT contract forms
Proficient in measurement, valuation, cost reporting, and forecasting
Ability to negotiate, draft subcontracts, and engage with clients and subcontractors
Skilled in reading drawings, understanding MEP systems, and identifying cost drivers
Experience managing, mentoring, and developing junior surveyors
Familiarity with COINS, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
RICS membership (desirable)

Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 depending on experience
