We’re working with a long-established M&E contractor in Warrington to find a capable and independent Mechanical Design Engineer for a permanent position. This is a great opportunity to work on technically interesting projects in specialist environments, with the autonomy to get on with the job without being micromanaged.

What You’ll Be Doing
Producing mechanical designs across projects in specialist sectors, including pharma, food, and high-care environments
Developing layouts, schematics, and technical specifications
Creating calculations, drawings, and documentation using AutoCAD (essential)
Using Revit where required (preferable but not essential)
Liaising with project managers and supporting delivery teams with technical input
Attending design meetings and occasional site visits
Ensuring your designs are clear, compliant, and buildable
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience working for a design & build M&E contractor
Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and HVAC systems
Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential); Revit experience is a bonus
Confidence working independently and taking full ownership of design tasks
Familiarity with pharma, food, or high-care sector projects is desirable
Strong communication skills and the ability to support site teams effectively
Benefits
Salary between £55,000 – £70,000 depending on experience
