Key Responsibilities
Working within the pre-construction department, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical services packages, coordinating closely with the design and project delivery teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
Producing detailed mechanical cost estimates
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
Identifying risks, value engineering options, and commercial opportunities
Supporting tender submissions and presentations to senior management
Assisting with post-tender negotiations and handover to project teams
Keeping up to date with industry trends, products, and market pricing
You’ll mostly be working from the Warrington office, with the support of a knowledgeable and friendly team who know the sector well.
Skills & Experience Required
Experience in a Mechanical Estimator role within M&E or building services
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, plant, and installation methods
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
Familiarity with estimating software and Microsoft Excel
Commercial awareness and strong attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (preferred)
