Overview
We are currently seeking an Electrical Contracts Manager in Bolton to oversee delivery across a busy portfolio of electrical works within an established energy services and building engineering environment.
This is a senior, delivery-led role for someone who enjoys running multiple projects, coordinating site teams and supply chain, and keeping safety, quality, programme and commercial performance aligned from start to finish.
You’ll also be heavily involved at the pre-construction stage; supporting bid strategy, buildability reviews and value engineering to help shape the best solution before work lands on site.

Our client is a well-established contractor operating within the energy services space, delivering electrical and wider building services works across occupied and operational environments.
They have a steady pipeline of projects and are strengthening their delivery team with an experienced Contracts Manager who can bring structure, consistency, and strong client communication.
What You’ll Be Doing
Taking overall responsibility for multiple electrical projects from handover through to completion
Managing supervisors, site teams and subcontractors, including labour planning and performance
Building and maintaining programmes, coordinating work fronts and resolving issues early
Leading client communication and progress reporting, keeping stakeholders aligned
Coordinating procurement, materials and supplier performance to support delivery
Supporting pre-construction activity, including tender reviews, scope validation and delivery planning input
Leading or contributing to value engineering, identifying practical alternatives that improve cost, programme or buildability without compromising quality or compliance
Providing clear commercial and technical input during handover so projects start with a clean scope and a realistic plan
Ensuring RAMS, permits and compliance standards are in place and maintained
Overseeing quality, snagging, commissioning readiness and close-out documentation
Managing change control and supporting commercial performance alongside commercial teams
Promoting a strong health and safety culture and ensuring standards are met across all sites
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager (or a similar senior delivery role) within electrical contracting or building services
Strong understanding of electrical installation delivery, site coordination and project governance
Confident managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
Commercial awareness, comfortable managing variations, cost control and project risk
Organised approach to reporting, document control and compliance
Full UK driving licence
SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
ECS / CSCS (preferred, depending on project requirements)
Benefits
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
